The Last canvass
Wouldn’t you like Jesus to find you
When probation finds its end,
Giving a pleading canvass,
To a long lost weary friend?
Won’t it be grand to be giving
Your very last canvass then,
And know that you have been chosen,
As one of God’s faithful men?
When you’ve given your very last canvass,
And have taken your very last pace,
And you rest assured of you seeing
Your dear kind Savior’s face.
And then see the many
In that land of brightness fair,
Will make your heart o’erflow with joy
For twas your canvass helped them there.
Yes, I want Jesus to find me
When probation finds its end,
Giving my last pleading canvass
To a long lost weary friend.
