You'll find several posts on here about the word "IF." I have a prescription to help you accomplish meaningful goals and prevent the sense of regret that many of these poets wrote about.
Simply think of the word "IF" as an acronym that reminds you of 2 key questions that will preempt the torment of regretfully asking "what if?" or shaming yourself with "If only I had..."
I-Initiative: What can I do next?
F-Follow Through: Did I finish what I started?
I challenge you to think about those 2 questions at home and at the job to see what a difference they will make.
And perhaps ask yourself one more question, "Why should I expect anyone else to help me accomplish meaningful goals in my life, IF I won't take Initiative and Follow through?!"
